Thanks, Baby Sis!

Savannah has been wanting a boy baby from the time we told her there was a baby in my tummy. She was pretty adamant about it, too. She said she wanted to play with the baby boy's trucks...which is silly, it's not like we keep her from playing with certain toys because they are boy toys. Anyhow, she was pretty certain she knew what she wanted. So when we found out Baby C was a girl not a boy, we started thinking about how we could break the news to big sis.

We ended up stopping by Target on our way to Angela's house to pick up the girls. We bought a little toy truck as a gift from Baby C to Finley and Savannah. We told Savannah the doctor got to look inside my belly button to take a picture of Baby C - we showed her the ultrasound picture...not super impressive. Then we shower her the truck - that did the trick! We told the girls that Baby C wasn't a boy baby, but a girl baby! Baby C likes to play with trucks very much and she gave us the truck to share with her big sisters until she popped out of my tummy and could play with them. Savannah was and still is very satisfied with that explanation.

So, when Harper Grace Heihn is born on or around July 14th, she is going to have two big sisters who are very excited to share their trucks!
